What Is Dry Verge?
Modern Alternative to Mortar
Traditional mortar verges crack and crumble over time, allowing water and wind to penetrate. Dry verge systems use interlocking plastic or GRP caps that clip securely over the roof tiles at the gable edge.
How It Works
Each dry verge unit mechanically clips to the tile and connects to the next unit, creating a continuous, wind-resistant seal along the entire gable. No mortar, no cement, no maintenance.
Suitable for Most Tile Types
We fit dry verge systems compatible with concrete interlocking tiles, plain tiles, and many slate profiles. We carry a range of systems to suit your existing roof.
Building Regulation Compliant
Modern dry verge systems meet BS 8612 standards for wind resistance and are compliant with current UK building regulations for new builds and refurbishments.
Benefits of Dry Verge
Eliminates Mortar Maintenance
No more cracked, crumbling mortar along your gable ends. Once fitted, dry verge requires zero ongoing maintenance.
Storm & Wind Protection
Mechanically fixed units provide far superior wind resistance compared to mortar, keeping tiles secure in high winds and storms.
Neat, Clean Finish
Dry verge gives a straight, uniform edge to your roofline. Available in a range of colours including grey, brown, terracotta, and black.
Prevents Bird & Pest Entry
The sealed edge prevents birds, rodents, and insects from nesting under your roof tiles at the gable.
